Product Manager for Service Engineering and Equipment (m/f/diverse)
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the economic success of the respective products in all regions worldwide. Thereby, always keeping the balance between strategy and operational business. The Portfolio includes products like heavy equipment for belt installations (e.g. belt winders, belt pullers, etc.) and also Service Engineering offerings and belt installation procedures . The main task is to manage the portfolio from development till phase-out. This includes the definition of the product strategy including the 5P's (Product, Place, Price, People and Promotion) the effective implementation of a marketing and sales strategy as well as the development of sales opportunities with a view to increase market share. Key responsibilities include: Global portfolio management: market observation, competitor analysis and market trend analysis for Conveyor Heavy Equipment and Service Engineering offerings Definition of value selling criteria for respective product lines Creation of business cases and business plans for new developments in order to ensure financial performance and strategic relevance of new products Definition of measures for full product life cycle including product launch process Analysis of competition and consolidation of market demands and derive actions Support and frequent training of target groups concerning product information (benefits, technical data etc.) Support with financial product performance: tracking and definition of strategic and operational counter measures in case of KPI deviations to ensure financial success of product families Execute and further development of BU product portfolio analysis, ensure alignment with Business Area approach Initiate and Drive global development of new products in respective product group: Creation of specification sheets (technical features, benefits, target prices, ...)
Academic degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or a comparable qualification Market and application knowledge of conveyor belts, conveyor systems and/or services an advantage Entrepreneurial mindset Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken Ability to translate market/customer needs to product strategy Analytical skills, to make data driven decisions which meet business objectives Technical aptitude Financial acumen Organizational skills combined with the ability to manage complexity and set priorities Willingness to travel (approx. 20 %, international)
